Stuart Johnson's 3 way Channel crossing

Stuart Johnson of Sydney, Australia is making his 3-way attempt today. The man from Down Under with a fast turnover successfully completed a two-way crossing of the English Channel in 2011 in 25 hours 50 minutes has the team, training and make-up to join the exclusive club.

  • His first leg, "the warmup lap" was 11 hrs 45. Conditions were cloudy but calm. He's out with Mike Oram on Gallivant. Coming up on 20 hours now. His second landing might be a bit west of Folkestone.
  • Looks like the attempt was interrupted 5 km from landing west of Folkstone.
    The tracker shows the boat is back in Dover.

  • Stuart made the two way, 24:30, only 30 minutes longer for his second leg! Swim was called at this stage. Stomach problems that had plagued the second leg. That's Stuart's Second Two-Way! Fantastic.
