Congrats, Barbara!

  • I was just about to post this, too. A nice sidebar to the discussion about who gets to call themselves a "Channel Swimmer." There is no debate that Barbara is one of the best! Glad she is getting this recognition, and from a reputable publication. Well done! :-)

@oxo, given that neither Barbara nor her interview are featured on the cover of the print edition, your meaning is a bit obscure. Care to spell out what you mean to say?

Obviously I'm not, at best, being polite this evening, which is not excusable. My apologies, even though that, of course, is not enough. Signing out.

The Outside cover photo @oxo posted features Olympic skier Lindsey Vonn in, I suppose, less clothing than we are accustomed to seeing her in on the slopes.

I'm still not sure what that has to do with Barbara, or her interview.

You say you were being impolite, but I'm not sure how you were being impolite? It just seemed like a nonsequitur.

    Please, I'm very curious, @oxo.

Thank you for the kind words. Most importantly I think all marathon swimmers are inspiring. I just happened to be fortunate enough to have Steve Munatones suggest me as a subject for this article. The questions were fun to answer and a bit different from the normal line of questions we swimmers usually receive in an interview.
