Anyone doing LRL this year? I'm still trying to put together a schedule, and NY isn't too far away from my future home in DC.

What do folk do for feeds on LRL? towing a bottle for the whole race seems like a bit of a hassle...

It is a fast swim... most will finish between 1.5 and 2 hours. I've never seen anyone take more than a gel or two with them.

Even the kayakers can pick up a few feeds! I found a feed last year while corralling the swimmers floating in Lady Hudson...thanks mysterious swimmer! (Truth be told, I never consumed it based on the fact that it was probably tucked in the back of someone's costume!)
  • I am (maybe) considering LRLH for 2013 .... has anyone on here travelled to it as part of one of Swimtrek's Iconic Swim tours?
I tried to convince myself, but, orange flavour electrolyte, mixed with hot chocolate,
tastes nothing like Terry's Chocolate Orange ....
