Very good article at WSJ.com, called Brighton Beach: Brooklyn's Swimming Mecca.

Whoops! My bad. I thought that was a recent article. It was from November of last year. You guys probably already read it.

I read the WSJ article on Jordan Waxman after seeing it linked on @KarenT 's research site and some of the comments were appalling in their judgement of other people (Jordan and family, and by extension all of us I guess).

Then there was the WSJ article on the Ocean's Seven a few years ago which I (& some others) interpreted as being dismissive of the Channel.

Both make me less than keen to read any more WSJ on swimming!

But they've done very complimentary OW articles. The CIBBOWS one and one on those crazies who swim Big Shoulders all butterfly. They've also done a review recently on a book on the history of swimming.
